We’re happy to announce that the Third Annual A Cappella Showcase will be held on Saturday, February 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the Wisconsin Union Theater. All four of UW’s a cappella groups (Redefined, MadHatters, Fundamentally Sound, and Tangled Up In Blue) will perform. All collective proceeds will be given to the American Cancer Society through the Relay for Life event held annually in the spring.
The four groups, which comprise more than 60 UW students, seek to raise awareness as well as give back to a community that has exhibited generosity and support for Wisconsin A Cappella. The past two showcases attracted statewide media attention and sold out the Wisconsin Union Theater on the UW campus. Last year’s showcase raised over $7,000, and we’re very optimistic that we can raise even more for cancer research this year.
Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for the public, and are available online here. You can also RSVP to the event and become a fan of Wisconsin A Cappella on Facebook. We’re sure it’s going to be a great night, and we hope to see you there!
